WELDWOOD Cove Base Adhesive
Weldwood Cove Base Adhesive is a nonflammable, acrylic-based adhesive specially formulated for the fast, dependable installation of most vinyl and rubber cove base materials. Designed to be used on a wide range of interior surfaces, the vinyl cove base adhesive is freeze and thaw stable, offering good initial tack, easy spreading characteristics, and a strong wet grab. This helps secure the cove vinyl base in place—especially around corners—without the need for bracing. It adheres well to drywall, cured plaster, wood, plywood, hardboard, ceramic tile, fully cured concrete and painted surfaces, making it a versatile vinyl base glue for a range of applications. The formula is non-staining, water-resistant when dry, easy to clean up, low in odor, and VOC compliant. Not suitable for application on vinyl wall coverings or surfaces coated with epoxy paint.

What surfaces can I install the product to?
The adhesive adheres most vinyl and rubber cove base to drywall, cured plaster, wood, plywood and hardboard, ceramic tile, fully cured concrete and painted surfaces.
Can I apply this over wallpaper?
Please make sure to strip old paper/vinyl wall covering and old adhesive from bonding area before adhering cove base. The wall surfaces must be clean, dry, flat, firm and free of all foreign material. Scarify (roughen) surface of glossy paint/finishes. Traditional plaster must be dry and fully cured.
