Would be nice to have in caulk tube!

I'm filling some glue-lam beams that have separated between the plies slightly. Not structurally a problem, but more astetically an issue. The tubs and tubes are difficult to apply in my case, and the quick dry time makes it challenging to get into the groves (1/2 - 1 inch deep and 1/8 to 1/4 inch wide). I have tried loading the product up in a clean blank tube of caulk with good success, but loading it is a pain and messy. Would be great to offer this in a caulk tube where the tip size could be varied and it would help it get into deep grooves or cracks and could be used for longer fill scenarios. Do caulk tubes of this product exist?

Works but not easy to get it out of tube

Yes it fills cracks but it’s a nightmare just getting out of the tube. I hope they are fixing it but takes me more time to get it out of the “handy” tube than to actually work with it and clean up. Could be Home Depot issue but regardless it’s frustrating.

I used this to fill nail holes we have in our floorboards and it worked out VERY well. The instructions on the bottle are simple to understand and the whole process was extremely easy. I love the final outcome. It's still noticeable, but only up close. I would definitely recommend this after receiving my free sample to try out.

Great Product, Learning Curve

I m not a woodworker. I suck at spackle. Me and caulk hate each other.. I so wish I would've read some of the comments here, especially the feedback from DAP. It took me two cans of the product to finally figure out how to use it correctly. Small areas and slight pre mixing. BUT...My patch turned out beautiful!!!!! No one can tell the difference from the patch and the real wood. I did make the stain on the patch just a hair darker then blended it to match. Don't overwork the product. Try a practice piece first. Thank you DAP for a fabulous product. It saved my bacon. And my moms table. And me since I'm the one that dinged it up.

Probably Not in the squeeze tube

I got this squeeze tube instead of a can cause I only needed a little to fill a couple holes on my project. Second squeeze the back end came apart and about a 1/3 came out at once. Well I put it in a ziplock bag but I think it will still dry out. BTW I was NOT squeezing too hard and I had cut the end of the tip off so the other end was open.
No, I do not recommend this product.

I was not aware of Dap's plastic latex wood filler, but I tried it for the first time on a small wooden table that had obtained a couple dents and cracks on the top of the table. After cleaning the top, I applied the filler to the couple holes in the table and let it dry overnight. The next day I sanded and repainted the top. The product worked well, easy to apply with easily spreading the filler. Afterwards the table top had a smooth surface that you could not tell that it previously had holes in it. I'm happy with the results and the kids happy that the holes are gone on the table. If I'm in need of a wood filler, I would buy this product again and would recommend.

Works well at sealing cracks in wood

I used this product to fill in gaps on my stair way when redoing my stairs. It works well,hardens fast and you can paint right over it with wood paint and you can't even tell there was a nick or gap in the wood. I tried using this with another project and it doesn't take stain very well. If you use stain,the places that you fill in with this product will show up lighter compared to the rest of the wood. Over all, it does the job and filling in small nicks and cracks and I'm pleased with the results. *Product provided in exchange for my honest opinion.

Not happy with product as advertised on label.

Product says nail and screw anchoring. I used this in solid wood to fill screw holes. There is no way this product is strong enough to anchor screws with even light tension. It is very misleading or just untrue. Now I have to clean out the filled holes and fill with something stronger. More work for me. I filled some wood scratches and gouges in wood and it worked just fine for that. It was easy to apply smoothly and sanded easily.

DAP Plastic Wood All-Purpose Wood Filler is designed for minor cosmetic repairs, such as: nail/screw holes, cracks, knot holes, etc. When attempting to install fasteners as an anchor point in a weight bearing application, it is critical that the product be fully dried. The introduction/installation of fasteners prior to reaching a fully dried state will result in low holding power/poor performance.
