DESCRIPTION
Home Seal is an all-purpose expanding foam designed to fill and seal smaller cracks and gaps in both indoor and outdoor areas. Its versatile formula works in a wide temperature range—from 30°F to 120°F—making it suitable for year-round use. Ideal for sealing around plumbing fixtures, exhaust vents, baseboards, electrical boxes, and sill plates, it blocks drafts, moisture, and pests while improving energy efficiency. This water-resistant, Class 1 fire-rated foam cures quickly, is paintable and sandable, and includes a stop-and-restart adapter with an extra straw for extended use and multiple projects.

Prep the Surface
Make sure surface is free of oil and dirt.
Requires Some Humidity
Polyurethane foam sealants require some humidity in order to cure properly. For best results, apply in temperatures between 60-100°F (16-38°C). Allow foam to cure fully before replacing baseboards, window or door frames.
Shake the Can No More than 30 Seconds
Shaking for more than 30 seconds may result in less foam yield.
Always Test Application
Always test application on scrap material first. Release trigger before reaching end of gap as foam continues to dispense for several seconds after trigger is released.
Do Not Overfill Gaps
Do not overfill gaps – fill gaps 1/3 full, allow room for foam to expand
Clean Spills Immediately
Clean spills immediately (before foam dries) with acetone or nail polish remover containing acetone. DO NOT USE WATER. Do not attempt to remove cured foam with solvents. Cured foam wears off and is not harmful to health.(moisture helps to cure foam).
Paint Outdoor Applications to Avoid Discoloration
Wait until foam is rigid before painting or trimming (30-60 minutes). Landscape foam is UV resistant and will not discolor or break down in sunlight.
For Reusable Dispensing
For reusable dispensing, leave straw attached, folding over and attaching to white knob on dispensing trigger.
Store Aerosol Can Upright
Store aerosol can upright to avoid propellant leakage prior to use.
Unlike caulking materials and other sealants that are solid, heavy and non-insulating, foam sealants expand to form an outer skin that contains closed air cells that provide an effective barrier against energy loss. DAP Foam forms a permanent seal that will not shrink or pull away from the material it has bonded to, making foam the best sealant available against air and moisture infiltration.
Yes. DAP Foam sealants meet the criteria of flame / smoke spread to be classified as a Class A foam. While these sealants are fire retardant (self-extinguishing when flame is removed), they are not intended to be used a fire barrier or fire stop.
DAP Foam sealants are water-resistant, however they are not intended for use in submerged/below-waterline applications.
No, DAP Foam insulating sealants are formulated to fill cracks, gaps and small voids. The project requires ventilation and humidity to cure. Larger voids may not allow enough air or moisture penetration for proper curing. DAP Foam products should not be used in any closed cavity that limits air/moisture exposure or the ability of the product the free rise (expand).
We recommend Landscape Foam for exterior applications. Landscape will not discolor or break down in sunlight like other foams. It is plant and fish safe, and the dark color blends into shadows well. MaxFill and Home Seal formulas may also be used indoors or outdoors. These foams should be painted when used outside in order to prevent discoloration and break down from UV exposure. DAP Foam can be painted in about one hour after dispensing. Touch 'n Foam No Warp, Fire Break and Mouse Shield should be used indoors only.
To store unused portion, bend straw back & attach to the knob atop the dispensing trigger. Store can upright below 90°F & above freezing temperature. Never store DAP Foam in your vehicle.
