DAP Anchoring Adhesive is a low-odor, styrene-free, two-component formula designed for a variety of residential anchoring projects. With a 15-minute working time at room temperatures (50°F to 68°F), it provides excellent strength and adhesion without expansion forces. This adhesive applies blue and cures gray, making it easy to track progress. Ideal for setting bolts and threaded rods in applications like railings, fences, signs, and safety barriers, it works on uncracked concrete, hard stone, solid rock, and masonry. The non-sag formula is perfect for both vertical and horizontal use, and it can be applied with a standard caulk gun for interior or exterior projects.
This product can be used with threaded rods and rebar for securing railings, fences, signs, racks, machinery, canopies, and other common anchoring projects to uncracked concrete, solid and hollow masonry, hard natural stone, and solid rock.
Working time is 15 minutes when temperature is between 50°F and 68°F. For additional information refer to the technical bulletin.
A common mistake with anchoring adhesives happens when load is introduced before the adhesive is cured or ready for load impacting the overall pullout strength. DAP® Anchoring Adhesive, dispenses blue and cures gray indicating it is cured, eliminating the guesswork.
The load capacity or pullout capacity is +10,000 lbf (pounds of pounds-force). Please review the technical bulletin for the load tables and types of rod used as these will impact load capacity.
Diameter and depth of hole will depend on the diameter of the threaded rod, please reference technical bulleting for a breakdown of sizes and depths.
Fill the hole approximately ½ to ¾ full. Any excess material will be expelled from the hole evenly around the steel element showing that the hole is full. This should be removed from around the mouth of the hole before it sets.
Curing time is 5 hours when temperature is between 50°F and 68°F. Higher temperatures will correlate to faster cure times please reference technical bulletin for more details.
Unused product should be stored in the original container in cool conditions (40°F to 90°F) out of direct sunlight.
Remove from tools immediately. Uncured materials can be removed with mineral spirits.
Cured adhesive can only be removed mechanically. Do not use mineral spirits or any other solvent to clean skin. Wash skin with soap and water.
