WOW, this was super simple and did exactly what I needed it to do! I had a small water stain in my ceiling from a previous leak. I scraped the old texture that was damaged and applied the 2 in 1 DAP spray. The coverage of the product was amazing, and I will get multiple uses from this large can as my spots are small. It was easy to apply and dries in 30 minutes. It is water based and should you have any messes it is easy to clean up.

I needed to restore the orange peel paint finish to a couple of damaged ceilings, and I selected the DAP Water Based 2in1 Wall & Ceiling Spray Orange Peel Texture product to attempt the repairs. DAP offers Orange Peel spray in both oil based and water based formulations. I selected the water based product for ease of cleanup. Texture spray is not intended for stain blocking or priming, only for adding texture prior to finish painting. Prior to use, I downloaded the product’s Technical Data Sheet from the DAP website and read the directions on the sheet as well as the directions on the spray can. I followed the instructions explicitly. Due to the inclusion of more viscous material blended with the paint carrier, I ensured that the can was shaken thoroughly enough, per the directions, to mix the contents. Prior to applying to the work area, I did test spraying on a piece of scrap drywall and a sheet of cardboard, and experimented with the spray nozzle adjustment in an attempt to to match the existing orange peel texture of the ceilings. I shook the can in between each spray, to keep the contents mixed. Since “less can be more”, I felt it would be better to set the adjustable nozzle for a lighter texture spray, and build up with additional coats, if necessary. I found it challenging to match the existing ceiling texture. Sometimes, the material being sprayed was of somewhat inconsistent uniformity, resulting in some larger/thicker deposits of texture interspersed with lighter texture deposition. It was not awful, but it was a complication. I don’t generally spray orange peel or knockdown finishes, so I have never acquired the spray equipment to do that type of drywall texturing and painting properly. I wanted to attempt to get these ceiling patches done by trying spray can application of texture. I found it challenging to try to match the existing texture, and I am not really certain if I am completely satisfied with the result that I achieved. I intend to roll another top coat of paint to see how that works at concealing any imperfections and inconsistencies in the texture finish. At this point, the result that I achieved is neither terrible nor is it perfect. Matching texture is clearly not an easy thing to do. It is likely that the texture from a spray can may closely match some existing texture finishes much better than others. I think that it requires experimenting with the nozzle setting, the distance to the surface and the rate of moving the can to achieve the closest match possible. As with any spray painting work, proper preparation is very important, and that includes drop cloths and masking, as needed. Cleanup of overspray was very easy. When some of the product inevitably sprayed on the wall immediately adjacent to the ceiling that I was spraying, a wet cloth removed it easily. Overall I think that the DAP Water Based 2in1 Wall & Ceiling Spray Orange Peel Texture is a decent product. The nozzle is adjustable for spray pattern density, and the nozzle also rotates from the horizontal position, for use on walls, to a near vertical position for spraying ceilings. However, when trying to match the existing texture of the areas adjacent to the repair, it can be challenging and requires a good technique coupled with good luck.

I bought this product last night. Brought it home and followed the directions. Shook the can vigorously and then when I pulled the trigger, it sprayed for exactly half a second and has not sprayed again since. I have been Clean out the nozzle to no success, shaking vigorously no success. Very disappointed.

2in1 Wall & Ceiling Spray Texture Orange Peel Water Based allows me to tackle wall, ceiling & hard to reach areas with just one can. Works perfectly on my water stain ceiling in the garage. I like that it has adjustable nozzle can be easily rotated upwards to spray at almost any angle achieving maximum coverage. The aerosol can is extremely easy to use and it dries in 30 minutes. I just received this product a couple weeks ago and I could not wait to try it. I have textured walls in my house and the one wall had some damage from furniture hitting it. So I could not wait to try this product to see if would actually patch the holes in the wall. It is very easy to use and it works fantastic. It only took me a couple of seconds to fill in the hole and with the fast drying time of 30 minutes I was able to paint over and you'll never know the holes were there. I highly recommend this product to anybody who wants to fix holes in the wall or sealing very easily.

DAP Orange Peel is what I used when I had some repairs on my ceiling. I moved some lights and added recessed lights and I have a mismatched area. Good thing I found Orange Peel from Dap, this is the way to go. It’s for walls or ceilings. Easier than getting the texture on a bag and having the sprayer and compressor and all that it took to get the things done. It’s a time saver and this really works. This is for fine, medium and heavy. It has an adjustable nozzle for better control. The best part, it only takes 30 min to dry and it is ready to paint. This is the way to go, you won’t regret it. High quality and easy to use. I recommend it to everyone!

DAP is a must for touch up on walls and ceilings that have texture.with it wide angle nozzle it's sprays evenly and with no splatter .It's water based ,fast drying,with pro results .I appreciate the orange peel scent as it's not overwhelming.The nozzle also allows for the perfect spray finish , fine , Medium,or heavy texture .It actually looks like it's the end result from a pain hopper ,a professional job .DAP ORANGE PEEL wall / ceiling texture spray is a must have for touch ups with a professional look and the job well done .

Great product to help seamlessly repair any holes or damage on your walls. Easy to spray nozzle that allows you to adjust coverage as needed and doesn’t get clogged up. Nice size bottle that should cover quite a bit if surface area.
