Does the adhesive expand 8 times?

No. One can provides same yield as (8) 28oz standard cartridges of adhesive.

Can I reuse the can if I don’t use the whole can?

Partially used canisters can be stored on the adhesive applicator gun for up to one month. DAP® SMARTBOND® Construction Adhesive cures with reaction to moisture in the atmosphere. To prolong storage, it is recommended store the product in cool/dry conditional and to purge the applicator weekly by discharging a small amount of adhesive.
