Plant Controller - Dallas, Texas

DAP Inc., a leading manufacturer of caulks, sealants, adhesives, coatings and other home improvement products has a new and exciting opportunity for a Plant Controller at our Dallas facility.

The successful individual will be responsible for managing the overall function of the position and will need to possess the skills to help drive continuous improvement.

Responsibilities include:

• Prepare and understand accurate and timely financial data of the manufacturing facility.
• Interface with the department managers in driving cost reduction and overall plant process improvement projects along with precise monitoring of manufacturing variances and overhead expenses. Strong emphasis will be needed to focus on the control of the inventory process which includes raw materials, packaging and finished goods.
• Lead the plant budgeting cycle to ensure that capital spending and fixed asset information is accurately monitored.
• Review internal controls to ensure proper compliance.
• Manage the annual physical inventory and cycle counting processes as well as all inventory levels.
• Maintain databases, records and reports, and file all property tax returns and/or provide information to outside tax preparers in a timely manner.

Requirements:

• Bachelors in Accounting or Finance.
• Previous management and position relevance: 2-5 years.
• Must possess strong statistical control skills as well as excellent organizational, interpersonal, leadership and communication skills.
